About Me

the site author, Birch Cue: white, blonde, transfem with glasses and hair pulled back, with red lipstick and a tan turtleneck

My name is Birch Cue (rhymes with "church pew"), my pronouns are they, them, and theirs. I am currently pursuing a Masters of Divinity at Meadville Lombard Theological School. Raised Roman Catholic, and a practicing Pagan since I was a teenager, both of these are sources of deepening for my Unitarian Universalist faith. They inform my sense of how our rituals and practices are felt in the body, and how I understand our interdependent world as one full of moral agents beyond human ones. This deeply connects me to our Unitarian Universalist values of Interdependence and Pluralism, and it is from these points that I reach out to our other values.

The Sum of All Being, deeper and greater than I myself am, calls me to serve our Unitarian Universalist faith as a congregational minister. It calls me to be a part of the world in this ministry, to connect myself and our people with our values, and to transform the world through them. It calls me to follow the joy I find in motion, sound, smell, and sight to create service and ceremony that nourish our transformation. I am accountable in this to ancestors and descendants, our world and community, and to myself.
